The decision to start the fight for your dream figure and improve your health is just the beginning of an often long and winding road. After all, it is not easy to admit that you have a problem, all the more so if the problem is extra kilograms.
Unfortunately, as always, the hardest part is to start working. However, if you are already here with us, one of the more difficult steps is behind you!
After deciding in your head that you would like to see a dietitian, some questions may arise:
What will it look like? How long will it take? How to prepare?
Answering the above questions, we have created simple checklist for you
Before the First Visit to the Dietitian
- Get ready for a relaxed meeting where you’ll tell you about your set goal
The basis is a sincere conversation and a desire to act. We do not judge, we do not condemn, nor certainly want to cause you annoyance. Think about what effects you want to pursue, together we will try to make sure that the chosen goal is both achievable and adapted to your body.
- Prepare the necessary medical documentation regarding your health
If you are suffering from any disease, be sure to take the current results of the tests with you! We encourage you to perform basic blood tests ahead of your first visit, so that the later arranged menu is as tailor-made as possible. Levels of fasting glucose levels, lipidogram, TSH, liver enzymes, GFR and creatinine would be useful too.
- Body composition analysis and duration of the visit
Reserve around 1.5 hours for the first consultation. During the visit, a body composition analysis will be performed followed by a discussion of the results. Necessary measurements will also be collected. On the day of the visit, it is best to avoid any physical training. Abstain from eating and excessive drinking at least two hours ahead of the appointment.
- Think about what you eat
A few days before the visit, pay attention to your meals, their quantity, composition and hours of consumption. However, do not modify your habits, to tell me how healthy you eat. Remember to be honest with yourself and towards us. During the nutrition interview, we try to know in detail your mode of the day, culinary preferences and spot the occurring "errors", which with our help you will easily eliminate.
- End result of your first dietary consultation
Together, we will set a goal and you will find out how to pursue it. During the visit, a medical, nutritional and lifestyle interview data will be collected, which, together with the results of the body composition analysis, will be a basis for the establishment of an individually tailored nutrition plan.
That is all enough to start the fight for health and better well-being!
Remember, you’re not alone in it, there’s a whole Just Health team with you!
