What is kinesiotaping?

Kinesiotaping is also called dynamic taping and consists of  bandaging various parts of the body with coloured patches, usually to relieve pain, but also to prevent various types of injuries.

‘Patching’ is very popular among athletes, but it can also be great at relieving spine pains, improving circulation or reducing the occurrence of cramps, e.g. calves.

These patches are made of cotton and acrylic adhesive. They are quite flexible, and the thickness resembles the thickness of human skin. In addition, they let through the air and are waterproof.

Patches are worn from several days to several weeks depending on the application.

The tapes give a similar effect to lymphatic drainage as they support lymphatic drainage. They are also used on stretched and strained muscles.
